Injury May Rule Out Lee for Ashes
AUSTRALIA fast bowler Brett Lee may be a doubt for the first Ashes test this week after going for a scan on a rib injury.
Team spokesman Philip Pope said that Lee reported "a sore left rib" after playing against the England Lions and was to undergo a scan late yesterday.
Pope said the result should be known today morning.
Lee is Australia's most experienced bowler on the tour, having visited England in 2001 and 2005. He was the team's most successful bowler at Worcester, claiming six for 76 in the first innings against the England Lions in the match that ended in a draw Saturday.
The first Ashes test starts tomorrow in Cardiff, Wales.
