Lions clinch Cup
SHANGHAI Dragons were beaten by Beijing Lions by 65 runs in the China Cup 50-overs cricket match in Pudong on Sunday. Beijing won the toss and opted to bat first. Three partnerships featuring captain Simon Pendergast, Martin Wareham and Richard McQuillian secured over 100 runs for the Lions as Beijing finished its 50 overs at 219-8.
For Shanghai, captain Jon Newton scored 40 runs and claimed 3-33 as the hosts were all out for 154 runs. Beijing's McQuillian was named Man of the Match.
