Mishra bags 6 in India whitewash
Legspinner Amit Mishra returned a career-best 6-48 yesterday as India defeated Zimbabwe by seven wickets in the fifth and final one-day international in Bulawayo to complete its first ever cricket whitewash in an away series of five games or more.
Mishra, whose previous best was 4-31 against West Indies two years ago, helped dismiss the home side for a low 163 in 39.5 overs and finished with a series tally of 18 wickets. India, playing without several key players, including captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and also trying out different combinations in the series, reached the target in only 34 overs, ending on 167-3 with Rahane (50), Ravindra Jadeja (48 not out) and Shikhar Dhawan (41) chipping in with useful scores.
