Morgan banned for 1 ODI
England captain Eoin Morgan has been suspended for one one-day international for maintaining a slow over-rate and will miss tomorrow’s match against Pakistan. He was also fined 40 percent of his match fee. Morgan had previously been found guilty of a minor over-rate offense during an ODI against the West Indies in February. Since he repeated the offense within 12 months, he was given the short ban. The other England players were fined 20 percent of their match fee, while Jonnny Bairstow was reprimanded for violating the ICC’s code of conduct during his match-winning century against Pakistan in Bristol on Tuesday. Batsman Bairstow struck the stumps with his bat after being bowled during the 29th over.
