Steyn takes 3 quick wickets

Dale Steyn took three wickets in 10 balls to lift South Africa’s hopes on the second day of the second and final Test against India at Kingsmead in Durban yesterday.

Steyn’s burst was followed by a partnership of 66 between Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane as India reached 271 for five at tea in a match affected by bad light and rain. Fast bowler Steyn had endured the longest wicket drought of his test career before he had Cheteshwar Pujara caught behind for 70 in the sixth over of a day’s play which started more than three hours late because of rain. He had bowled 417 balls since his previous wicket when he dismissed Shikhar Dhawan early in the first test in Johannesburg.
