Swann apology
England spinner Graeme Swann has apologized for making comments on Facebook in which he compared his team losing the Ashes series to rape. Swann says on Twitter yesterday he is “sorry to anyone who was offended by my comments. Crass and thoughtless of me in the extreme.” Swann made the comments during a conversation with his brother, Alec, hours after England lost the third test to Australia in Perth to surrender the Ashes urn. Swann has been criticized by rape charities.
