1,000 riders take part in the China cycling series near Qiandao Lake

THE fourth leg of the 2017 Skoda Heros China Cycling Series was held near Qiandao Lake in neighboring Zhejiang Province over the weekend.

Around 1,000 cyclists from 12 countries and regions including China, Germany, France, US, Britain took part in the two-day Granfondo race. The race featured two routes — 160km and 140km — and made full use of the picturesque location.

With increasing number of women taking part in the series, the organizers divided them into two age groups – 16-29 and 30-60 years old.

There are five more legs in this year’s calendar, including a carnival event at Shanghai International Circuit in October.
