Beijing Teen Leads
CHINA’S Shi Yuting opened up a two-shot lead during second-round play of the fog-delayed Zhuhai Challenge yesterday when the teenager carded a five-under 67 to get to three-under 141. Compatriot Zhang Wei stayed close with a three-under 69, tied with South Korean Jang So-young (67) in equal second at the China LPGA Tour event in Guangdong Province.
Meanwhile, South Korea’s Pak Se-ri is leaving the LPGA Tour at the end of the season. The 38-year-old Hall of Famer broke the news after an opening 3-under 69 in the Founders Cup in Phoenix, US, her first event in nine months. Hampered by left shoulder problems, she made only eight starts last year.
