Chinese rookie Yan shares lead at Xiamen Open
CHINA’S Yan Jing grabbed a share of the second-round lead at the Xiamen Open International yesterday when the rookie pro carded a 7-under-par 65 to draw even with French veteran Gwladys Nocera (68) at 9 under in southwest China’s Fujian Province.
Thailand’s Kusuma Meechai (69) was two shots back in third at the tournament co-sponsored by the China LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour.
England’s Hannah Burke (69) and Liz Young (68), Chinese Taipei’s Chien Pei-yun (67) and Australian Stacey Keating (68) were equal fourth at three shots off the pace at the Orient Xiamen Golf and Country Club. China’s Jin Man (71) was the top amateur at six shots off the lead.
