Ishikawa skips US event for graduation
JAPANESE golfer Ryo Ishikawa will miss the US PGA Tour's CA Championship to attend his high school graduation.
The 18-year-old Ishikawa will attend his graduation ceremony in Tokyo on Monday, leaving him little time to prepare for the event which starts on Thursday in Doral, Florida. Ishikawa, who won the Japanese tour's 2009 money title, is scheduled to play two other tournaments in Florida later this month, the Transitions Championship on March 18-21 and the March 25-28 Arnold Palmer Invitational. He is also scheduled to make his second US Masters appearance in April.
