Jang claims 1-shot victory

SOUTH Korea’s Jang Ha-na carded a 1-under 71 yesterday for a 17-under par total of 271 to secure a one-shot victory at the LPGA Taiwan Championship.
Jang battled strong wind and rain to end the final round with three birdies and two bogeys in New Taipei City. She held off a powerful charge from China’s Feng Shanshan, thanks to a six-shot lead she kept after firing a flawless 10-under 62 on Saturday to set her best personal scoring record and tie the tournament course record. Feng shot a 6-under 66 in the final round to finish with 16-under 272. It was Jang’s third victory of the 2016 season. Canada’s Brooke Henderson and Kim Hyo-joo of South Korea tied for third place at 10-under.
