Ji stays ahead at World Ladies Championship

OVERNIGHT leader Ji Han-sol kept her position atop the World Ladies Championship leaderboard yesterday when the South Korean carded two birdies over her first three holes to move to 6-under during second-round play at the rain-delayed tournament near Shenzhen, southern Guangdong Province.

Ji will play the final 15 holes of her round over the Olazabal Course at Mission Hills Golf Club today. The US$800,000 championship is a co-sanctioned event between the China LPGA Tour, the LPGA Tour of Korea and the Ladies European Tour. Korea’s Kim Bo-kyung (66) was a shot back at 5-under 139, while compatriot Ko Jin-young (69) was two shots off the pace. Chinese Taipei’s Lin Tzu-chi (72) was fourth, three shots off the lead.
