Kim storms to 2nd straight victory

KIM Hyo-joo captured her second consecutive victory yesterday when the 18-year-old South Korean closed with a 69 for a dominant seven-stroke win at the Kumho Tires Ladies Open in Weihai, Shandong Province.
With a score of 13-under 203 at the joint China LPGA Tour and LPGA Tour of Korea event, the Seoul teenager earned nearly US$100,000 to remain atop the KLPGA Order of Merit. She won the Korea Women’s Open Championship two weeks ago.
Koreans dominated the leader board with Ko Jin-young (69) finishing second, while compatriots Lee Min-young (70) and Jung Hee-won (71) were equal third at eight shots back. China’s Feng Shanshan, the world No. 9, closed with a 71 to finish equal sixth, 10 shots back.
