Lin storms to victory

CHINESE Taipei's Lin Tzu-chi captured her second win of the China LPGA Tour season yesterday with a two-shot victory at the Golden Mountain Challenge in Yantai, Shandong Province.

The 22-year-old Taipei native, winner of the Ningbo Challenge in April, closed with a round of 71 and a 54-hole score of 3-under 223.

Thailand's Pavarisa Yoktuan (70) was the only other player to finish under par at 1-under.

Lin pulled off the victory despite an erratic final round. Starting the day one off the lead, she got to 4-under after picking up strokes at the fourth and sixth holes. She then registered four bogeys over her last 10 holes, including three in the final four, to hang on for the win.

China's Shang Linyan (74) and Korean Chung Ye-na (75) were equal third four shots back, followed by Wang Wenwen (75) a shot further back. Overnight leader Narisara Kerdrit of Thailand ballooned to a 78 to finish equal sixth.
