Rose rises in rankings

JUSTIN Rose is up two places to eighth in the world golf rankings following his win at the Quicken Loans National in Washington on Sunday. It was the Englishman’s first tournament win since he lifted the US Open at Merion a year ago. Australia’s Adam Scott retained the top ranking a point clear of Henrik Stenson of Sweden.
