Trio shares lead
THAILAND'S Porani Chutichai and teen amateurs Wang Ziyi and Yu Okamura shared the second round lead at the US$50,000 Beijing Renji Challenge yesterday as strong wind inflated scores in the third leg of the China LPGA Tour season. Porani, winner of last month's Yangzhou Challenge, shot a 74, while 13-year-old Beijinger Wang carded a 73. Japan's Okamura shot a 72 as all three players were deadlocked at even-par 144 through 36 holes. Tanaporn Kongkiakrai (72) of Thailand was one off the pace, while overnight leader Lu Meiping ballooned to a 77 and was two shots back. Wang Xin (72) was another Chinese amateur in contention sitting three shots back.
