Westwood, Liang tied ahead of Macau
WORLD No. 2 Lee Westwood and Chinese No. 1 Liang Wenchong share the lead at 2-under-par going into the final two holes of the week-long, seven-city Shui On Land China Golf Challenge today.
Westwood, 38, moved to 2-under with a birdie at the 198-yard par-3 15th hole, the second of three holes played at Long Island Golf and Country Club in Dongguan, Guangdong Province yesterday, before the players left for Macau. The Englishman could have taken the outright lead, but missed a four-foot birdie putt at the uphill 418-yard par-4 16th. Ian Poulter, who bogeyed the 503-yard par-4 14th, was even-par and world No. 3 Rory McIlroy, the US Open champion, remained at 6-over.
