ASIA'S first major male champion Yang Yong-eun is to team up with Charlie Wi to represent South Korea at the US$5.5 million World Cup of Golf in China in November. Yang, who out-dueled world No. 1 Tiger Woods to win the PGA Championship at Hazeltine last month, will make his World Cup debut at Mission Hills in Shenzhen from November 26-29. The Korean duo will take on 27 other nations at the 55th World Cup, whose winners have included the likes of Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer in its various guises over the years.
