Pens dump Bolts as Malkin returns

SIDNEY Crosby and Evgeni Malkin scored less than 2 minutes apart in the third period as the Pittsburgh Penguins handed the Tampa Bay Lightning their fifth straight loss 4-3 on Monday.

Chris Kunitz added his 12th goal of the season for Pittsburgh and James Neal scored an empty-net goal in the final minute.

Malkin, making his return after missing four games due to a concussion, tied it 5:38 into the third period on a pretty breakaway.

Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos scored twice to push his league-leading total to 17, but it wasn't enough to stop the Lightning's slide.

Nazem Kadri continued his points streak for the Maple Leafs with a goal and an assist in Toronto's 4-2 win over the struggling New Jersey Devils.

Clarke MacArthur, Jay McClement and Phil Kessel scored in the third period for Toronto. Kadri connected in the first period and assisted on MacArthur's goal to earn points in his fifth straight game.

Kadri leads the Leafs with 23 points in 23 games.

Phoenix defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored in the fifth round of the shootout and Mike Smith stopped Bobby Ryan to help the Coyotes down the Anaheim Ducks 5-4.

In Los Angeles, Jeff Carter completed his fifth career hat-trick as the Los Angeles Kings beat the Nashville Predators 5-1 despite taking only 16 shots on net.
