Prospal retires
Czech forward Vaclav Prospal has retired after a 16-year National Hockey League career. Prospal appeared in 1,108 games with Anaheim, Columbus, Florida, the New York Rangers, Ottawa, Philadelphia and Tampa Bay. He registered 255 goals and 765 points. The move wasn’t a surprise. Prospal was scheduled to join Vancouver’s second-tier AHL affiliate last weekend. But after talking with his family, the club said the 38-year-old decided to retire.
