70-plus drivers to race in World Endurance Championship

THE World Endurance Championship will come to Shanghai this weekend and the six-hour race at the Shanghai Audi International Circuit will be free to spectators, the organizer said today.

Featuring top automakers as Audi, Porsche, Toyota, Nissan, Ferrari, Aston Martin and Corvette, the race will take place from 11am to 5pm Sunday. More than 70 drivers, including the Chinese driver Cheng Congfu, former Formula One driver Alex Wurz, Giancarlo Fisichella, Tonio Liuzzi, Karun Chandhok and Allan McNish, will compete in the last stop of the season.

Free tickets can be booked at www.jusstickets.com. Fans need to download the application form and can change for tickets at the main stand of the circuit on Sunday, the organizer said.

Meanwhile, as warm-up exercises for Sunday's event, Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Audi R8 LMS Cup will be held in the circuit as well.
