China's DMACK Enters World Championship
DMACK will become the first Chinese tire brand to enter the world rally championship when it joins Michelin as an official supplier next season.
DMACK said in a statement it aimed to supply privately-entered teams and drivers with a more limited budget than the works entries.
"We studied the FIA's new tire regulations for 2011 and decided to make a proposal," said motorsport director Dick Cormack. "Technically the new regulations are very achievable for a new manufacturer and we based our proposal on bringing a very strong and durable product to the championship.
"We also wanted to help encourage more entries into the events by offering a two-tier pricing structure."
DMACK is manufactured by Shandong Yongtai Chemical Group in Dongying.
