FIA renews license of Shanghai F1 circuit
THE Shanghai International Circuit is ready for the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix next month as it just passed an appraisal by the F1 authority today and had its circuit license renewed.
Charlie Whiting, race director of FIA, the governing body for F1 and world motor sports, expressed satisfaction with the renovation and maintenance of the Shanghai F1 circuit in the city's Jiading District after taking a walk on the track yesterday amid rain.
The new license should be signed this evening to officially enable the circuit to host the Chinese Grand Prix for at least three more years, said Juss Event, the local organizer of the annual event.
