Hamilton, Vettel retire from 2014 Australian F1 Grand Prix
IN one of the most furious and chaotic races in years, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes, Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull and other five drivers today retired from the 2014 Australian F1 Grand Prix due to various reasons including technical problems, according to media reports.
Hamilton who just claimed pole position yesterday and gained great advantage had to retire when he just finished three laps due to a reliability problem of his steering wheel.
Four-time world champion Vettel was also hit by the mechanical problem and quit after six laps.
Felipe Massa of Williams, Jules Bianchi of Marussia, Kamui Kobayashi and Marcus Ericsson of Caterham, Pastor Maldonado of Lotus also followed the suit.
