Karting summer camp

THE Formula Kart Stars summer camp was held at the karting center of Shanghai International Circuit yesterday, providing local karting lovers with a chance to compete.
FKS is a youth karting project being promoted in Asia and backed by Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone and the Formula One Management. According to the promoters, young talented drivers will be selected through FKS activities, and some 50 of them will be picked to take part in a 12-round national tour next year. As part of yesterday’s activity, the young drivers visited the Shanghai International Circuit’s pit lanes and were greeted by GT Asia drivers Frank Yu and Darryl O’Young. The two drivers will represent Craft-Bamboo Racing in this weekend’s GT Asia Shanghai race at the circuit.
