Loeb makes gains

WORLD champion Sebastien Loeb roared back into contention at the Rally of New Zealand yesterday, winning all six gravel stages to finish the day in second place behind fellow Frenchman Sebastien Ogier. The six-time champion, who started the day more than a minute and 19 seconds off the pace after crashing into a bridge during Friday's first leg, is only 5.30 seconds adrift and will fancy his chances of notching his fourth consecutive victory Today.
