Marquez on pole for British GP
Spain’s MotoGP championship leader Marc Marquez saw off a fierce challenge from world champion and compatriot Jorge Lorenzo to put his Honda on pole position for today’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Home hope Cal Crutchlow, who fell twice in morning practice, joined the Spaniards on the front row with a late quick lap on his Yamaha. Marquez, 20, will be chasing his fifth successive win today after becoming the first rookie to win four in a row in the top category.
