Panel set up to review crash
A 10-MAN working group set up to review the accident that has left Formula One driver Jules Bianchi fighting for his life will present its findings on December 3.
Bianchi is in a critical condition with severe head injuries after losing control of his Marussia car during the Japanese Grand Prix last month and hitting a mobile crane that was inside the trackside barriers. FIA, the sport’s governing body, announced the composition of a newly established Accident Panel on Monday and says it will “carry out a full review of the accident to gain a better understanding of what happened, and will propose new measures to reinforce safety at circuits.” FIA says recommendations will be made to its president, Jean Todt, and the panel’s findings released at a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in Doha, Qatar.
