Marquez injured
MotoGP champion Marc Marquez will be sidelined for up to a month after fracturing his right fibula in a training session accident. Marquez, who turned 21 earlier this week, will miss the second MotoGP test session scheduled for Sepang, Malaysia, from February 26-28, and perhaps the next session at Phillip Island, Australia, after hurting his leg during a dirt track training session near his hometown of Cervera. Dr Xavier Mir, who treated the Spanish world champion, says there was “no ligament damage or dislocation and no need to proceed with surgery. I expect he will need three to four weeks to fully recover.” The MotoGP season begins on March 23 at the Qatar Grand Prix.
