SIX male candidates are in the running to succeed Jacques Rogge as president of the International Olympic Committee, the IOC confirmed yesterday. The six - German Thomas Bach, Ukrainian Sergey Bubka, American Richard Carrion, Singapore's Ser Miang Ng, Denis Oswald of Switzerland, and Chinese Taipei's Wu Ching-kuo - officially announced their candidacies by the June 6 midnight deadline. The election is set for September 10 in Buenos Aires.
