Nanjing less risky
CHINA'S Nanjing City presents the least risk of the three candidates bidding for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games, the IOC said yesterday in Lausanne, Switzerland. The International Olympic Committee released a report evaluating the bids from Nanjing, Guadalajara, Mexico, and Poznan, Poland. The IOC said Guadalajara and Poznan present "a number of risks" while Nanjing offers "minimal risk." The finding should make Nanjing the favorite when IOC members vote for a host city on February 10.
