Brumbies edge Bulls in Super 14


FLYHALF Christian Lealiifano scored a try with less than four minutes left and Stirling Mortlock converted to give the ACT Brumbies a 32-31 win over South Africa's Bulls in a Super 14 duel in Canberra yesterday.

Center Wynand Olivier and former Springboks No. 8 Pierre Spies had earlier scored converted tries to give the Bulls a 31-22 lead after the South African side trailed 22-17.

Olivier scored in the 61st minute and Spies added the side's fourth try five minutes later. The Bulls moved into second place with their two bonus points.

Brumbies captain Stephen Hoiles scored in the corner on the stroke of halftime to give the Brumbies a five-point lead at the break.
