Chiefs top Highlanders to launch title defense
THE Waikato Chiefs began their defense of the Super 15 rugby title yesterday with a 41-27, bonus point win over the Otago Highlanders in Dunedin, New Zealand, in a match which saw six lead changes.
Lightweight center Tim Nanai-Williams used his exceptional pace to score the first and last of the Chiefs' four tries. In the day's other match, the ACT Brumbies beat the Melbourne Rebels 30-13.
