Crusaders to kick off
THE New South Wales Waratahs will open their defense of the Super Rugby title with a derby match against the Western Force, but will have to wait until round 15 of next year’s tournament for a finals rematch with the Christchurch-based Canterbury Crusaders.
Seven-time champions the Crusaders will play the opening match of the 2015 season against the Melbourne Rebels on February 13 in a draw which has been condensed because the World Cup. The Waratahs open their season at home to the Force in Sydney on February 15. The opening round features derby contests between the ACT Brumbies and Queensland Reds in Australia, the Auckland-based Blues and Chiefs in New Zealand and the Stormers and Bulls in South Africa.
