Hurricanes beat Western Force
ALL Blacks fullback Cory Jane scored a bonus-point try five minutes from fulltime to give the Wellington Hurricanes a 34-28 win over the Western Force in Super 15 rugby in Palmerston North, New Zealand, yesterday.
The Force led for much of the match and by 28-20 with 15 minutes remaining, but the Hurricanes rallied with late tries to lock James Broadhurst and Jane to take their fourth win from 13 matches this season. The Perth-based Force were left with three wins from 13 games at the end of a match between teams which had already dropped out of playoff contention.
