MacDonald retires

FORMER All Blacks fullback Leon MacDonald has announced his retirement from all rugby after suffering the most recent of a series of concussions which have affected his career. MacDonald, 32, suffered a concussion while playing for his Japanese club side Kitetsu in a preseason match last year and decided he could not continue and risk further and possibly long-term injury. He retires as the third most-capped All Blacks fullback with 56 tests.
