Post-mortem into Foley death

FRENCH authorities will carry out a post-mortem following the death of Irish rugby legend Anthony Foley in a Paris hotel, a source close to the probe said yesterday.
“A post-mortem will be carried out, probably today,” said the source who asked not to be named, adding that a police investigation had been launched.
Former Irish international Foley died suddenly on Sunday at the age of 42. Foley was the head coach of Munster, the Irish provincial team which was to play French club Racing 92 the same day.
The European Champions Cup match was postponed.
Flags flew at half-mast yesterday in Munster as books of condolence were opened across Ireland.
Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Enda Kenny was among those to pay tribute to Foley who enjoyed an illustrious career as a player which saw him win 62 Ireland caps as a robust back row forward.
“Anthony was a legendary figure in Munster and Irish rugby. It is tragic to lose such a fantastic man at such a young age,” Kenny said.
