NORTHERN Bulls captain Flip van der Merwe has been suspended for three weeks on a striking charge, SANZAR said yesterday. The 34-year-old lock was charged for striking prop Paddy Ryan in the 75th minute of last Saturday’s Super Rugby match against the New South Wales Waratahs in Sydney, which the Bulls lost 12-19.
