Snowed off

THE women's World Cup super-G in Val d'Isere, France, has been called off due to heavy snowfall. Heavy snow fell overnight and continued into yesterday morning. Organizers had hoped to hold the race in the afternoon. Yesterday was the first of three scheduled days of racing. The race had been arranged in place of a super-G which was called off last weekend in St Moritz, Switzerland.
