Training called off

The third downhill training run for the women’s Alpine skiing World Cup event in Val d’Isere was cancelled yesterday because of adverse weather conditions, organizers announced. The French Alpine resort saw overnight snow on top of the Oreiller Killy course, along with some wind and warmer temperatures at lower altitude. The women have already had two training runs, on Wednesday and Thursday, ahead of the downhill scheduled for today, with a giant slalom slated for tomorrow.
