Ronnie O’Sullivan won a record seventh UK Championship title after defeating Mark Allen 10-6 in the final in York on Sunday. O’Sullivan, a five-time world champion, won nine of the last 13 frames for the title. The 43-year-old lifted the UK trophy for the first time in 1993 at age 17, beating Stephen Hendry in the final. He went on to triumph in 1997, 2001, 2007, 2014, 2017 and 2018. He equalled Steve Davis’ record last year when he claimed a sixth title.
