MARK Selby added a second UK Championship to his world title with a 10-7 win over Ronnie O’Sullivan in the final in York on Sunday.
World No. 1 Selby of England swept into a 7-2 lead before five-time champion and compatriot O’Sullivan clawed his way back to 7-5 and then 8-7. But the 33-year-old held his nerve to become just the sixth player to secure the world and UK titles in the same calendar year. Leicester-based Selby also won the UK title in 2013.
