Aguero nears return

Striker Sergio Aguero is back in training and close to returning for Manchester City after being out since before Christmas with a calf injury, manager Manuel Pellegrini said yesterday. “I think Sergio will be back during January — he’s working, he is training,” Pellegrini said ahead of today’s league Cup semi-final, first leg against West Ham. Aguero has scored 13 English Premier League goals this season.
