Aquilani set for Serie A loan move

LIVERPOOL manager Roy Hodgson wants Alberto Aquilani to return to Italy on loan so the midfielder gets some much-needed playing time.

Aquilani joined Liverpool from Roma last summer for 20 million pounds (US$31 million) but he has struggled to break into the first team because of problems with his fitness and form. Hodgson says a loan move to an Italian club would suit both Liverpool and Aquilani because "it's very important he plays regular football, every week as the No. 1 man on the team sheet."
