CHINESE league champion Beijing Guo'an will take on Spanish and European champion Barcelona at the Bird's Nest Stadium on August 8 to mark the second anniversary of the staging of the Olympic Games in Beijing, the Oriental Morning Post reported. Among the stars on show will be the 22-year-old Argentine World Player of the Year Lionel Messi. Last year, Beijing staged the Italian Super Cup between Serie A champion Inter Milan and Cup winner Lazio. It was a resounding success for the organizers who cashed in a whopping 50 million yuan (US$7.3 million).
