Bayern sells Dante, signs Juve鈥檚 Coman

Defending German league champion Bayern Munich confirmed yesterday it had sold Brazil center-back Dante to VfL Wolfsburg and signed France under-21 winger Kingsley Coman on loan from Juventus.
Bayern has paid Juventus 7 million euros (US$7.82 million) for the 19-year-old Coman, signing him on a two-year deal with an option to buy him in 2017 for 20 million euros.
鈥淚 am looking forward to living in Munich and playing for Bayern. I want to take the next step in my career and want to help the club to be successful in the next two years,鈥 said Coman.
The teenager boasts the impressive record of having won three league winners medals in his three years as a pro, with Paris Saint-Germain in 2013 and 2014, then last year with Juventus.
The fleet-footed youngster, who can play on either wing, has been signed as cover for Bayern鈥檚 veteran wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery and the German champion has beaten Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign him.
On the same day Bayern announced Coman鈥檚 arrival, Dante left after winning three league titles in Munich for a reported 4 million euros.
Dante has fallen out of favor with Bayern coach Pep Guardiola due to a lack of pace and the Brazilian, whose full name is Dante Bonfim Costa Santos, has found himself on the bench for Bayern鈥檚 three league games this season. He made his first Bundesliga appearance of the 2015/16 campaign by playing the last 17 minutes of Bayern鈥檚 3-0 home win over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday which has proved to be his farewell.
鈥淒ante simply wanted the chance to play regularly and we didn鈥檛 want to hinder his wish,鈥 explained Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Wolfsburg is poised to sell midfielder Kevin de Bruyne to Manchester City and the German Cup holder is set to splash out more cash before the transfer window closes today.
