Beckham suspended

LOS Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham was suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount by Major League Soccer on Thursday. The former England player began shouting at and shoving rival players and punched the San Jose club's mascot before being restrained. During the match, Beckham drew a yellow card after kicking the ball toward an injured player. Beckham, 37, said last week that he was disappointed at having been left off the British football squad for the London Olympics.
