Big-spending Milan nets Lazio’s Biglia

ARGENTINA midfielder Lucas Biglia has transferred from Lazio to AC Milan, adding to the Rossoneri’s freewheeling spending spree.
Milan said on Sunday that Biglia signed a contract through 2020.
While details were not announced, Milan reportedly is paying a 17-million euro (US$20 million) transfer fee plus an eventual 3 million euros more in potential bonuses.
Milan is also concluding a big deal for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, having already signed Andre Silva from Porto, Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg), Franck Kessie and Andrea Conti (Atalanta), Hakan Calhanoglu (Bayer Leverkusen) and Mateo Musacchio (Villarreal).
The 31-year-old Biglia won four Belgian titles with Anderlecht before moving to Lazio in 2013. He scored four goals in 29 league appearances last season as Lazio finished fifth. Milan has finished outside the top five for the last four seasons.
Meanwhile, England international goalkeeper Joe Hart was having a medical with West Ham United yesterday as he looks to finalize a loan move from Manchester City, according to reports.
The 30-year-old had been told by City boss Pep Guardiola that he could find another club, and he appears set for a season-long loan with the East Londoners after spending last season with Italian side Torino.
Hart, who has 71 England caps, is expected to have the option of making the move permanent, while City will pay some of his wages as part of the deal, according to the reports.
Hart is keen on regular first-team football, which would have been unlikely after City splashed 35 million pounds (US$45.76 million) on Benfica’s Brazilian ‘keeper Ederson Moraes.
Hart has played over 300 games in all competitions for City since signing from Shrewsbury Town in 2006.
