CCTV Channel 5 seals deal over Italian Serie A games
FANS of Italian soccer games in China will be able to see the Italian prime Serie A matches on CCTV Channel 5 in the new season.
The broadcasting deal has been sealed, an insider from CCTV revealed today, giving no further details, according to sina.com.
CCTV had wanted to drop the broadcast deal after the Italians raised price quotation. It already has the program of the Spanish league play, quite popular among Chinese fans.
As for Shanghai television sports channel, the talks over England Premier League games show are in deadlock. So far no broadcasting deal has been reached.
