CSL plans to allow limited spectators back to stadium
The Chinese Super League is planning to allow 1,900 fans inside the stadium to watch the game between Beijing Guoan and Shanghai SIPG in Suzhou tomorrow.
Having restarted on July 25, the CSL has finished five rounds behind closed doors at neutral venues in Suzhou and Dalian and this will be the first time spectators will be allowed in a football stadium since the league鈥檚 resumption. Both the Beijing and Shanghai fan associations are organizing their supporters to travel to the east Chinese city. It is reported that each side only has a maximum of 500 seats. Spectators must provide their health QR code, wear masks, and have their temperatures checked before being allowed into the stadium. 鈥淚鈥檓 very happy because our supporters will come again, they are our families and we like our families supporting us, it鈥檚 also good for football,鈥 said Vitor Pereira, SIPG head coach. In CSL matches in Dalian yesterday, defending champion Guangzhou Evergrande beat Jiangsu Suning 2-1 while Rafael Benitez鈥檚 Dalian Pro fell 2-3 to Shenzhen FC.
